In Year 5, spelling lists are set on a Friday and are tested on the following Friday.
Please see the yearly overview in the table below.
Additionally, every term, children will also be tested on both year 3/4 and year 5/6 statutory spellings, so please ensure these spellings are revisited.

How can I help my child at home?
- Spelling Shed is a brilliant resource for regular spelling practice. Children have a Wonde login to access Spelling Shed.
- For those children who have Nessy logins, please access this at home. Children should complete these activities independently, as their progress is tracked by school staff. If you have lost login details for Nessy or Wonde, please contact us using the class email address.
- Regular revision of the Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 statutory spelling lists (please see files below).
