This term, we will begin our new topic 'A French Adventure' whilst engaging with our new geography topic.  Our learning will centre around Il de France.

Throughout this unit, we will be making comparisons between Il de France and Chester as part of our European regional in-depth study. We will cover many areas of geography, including:

  • Eurpean geography
  • climate zones
  • rivers
  • coastline
  • agriculture

This website is a simple, fun guide that helps childre learn all about France, a country in Europe. It explains what France looks like, what the weather is like, and the kinds of landforms you can find there — like tall mountains, rolling hills, and famous rivers.

Kids can also discover:

  • Cool landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and Mont Blanc

  • Major cities such as Paris, Lyon, and Marseille

Google Maps - Brittany 

  • Use the street view tool on Google Maps to explore the region of Brittany. Can you spot and similarities and difference between this region and Chester?
