Autumn Term

Welcome back to Huntington! We hope that everybody has had a lovely summer break and is looking forward to an exciting year ahead. We are looking forward to welcoming you into Year 2 and have lots of fun topics and activities planned for the year.

Our first topic is 'Trolls' which is based on the book 'Troll Swap' by Leigh Hodgkinson.  During this topic we will also be learning about the world's seven continents and five oceans in geography and looking at how wheels and axles work in design and technology.

‘Who's Afraid of the Dark’ will be our second topic of the year which is based on the book 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark' by Jill Tomlinson.  We will be learning about Florence Nightingale during this half term along with making music on computers.
